Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Toasty.
Palate
Big. Soft. Syrupy. Sweetish. Very fruity. Winey. Easily drinkable.
Finish
Lurking behind, and emerging gradually, restrained balancing dryness of toast and oak.
Comment
Seems simple at first, but then develops stylishly.

Dave Broom

Nose
An overwhelming array of aromas: vanilla, orange blossom, poached pear, cooked plum, membrillo, overripe fruit, maple syrup.
Palate
Sweet with a soft, full texture. Victoria plum, citrus oil and a malty core. Good structure.
Finish
Black fruits. Soft.
Comment
Decent balance means the finish isn't dominating. Just a bit blowsy?
