Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Deep, fruity, toffeeish.
Palate
Clotted cream. Cinnamon. Spicy. Liquorice. Rooty. Nutty. Developing dry fruitiness. Very long.
Finish
Yet further length. The flavours concentrate in a winey, spicy, warming "cough syrup".
Comment
Perhaps more robust, less elegant, than the previous bottling, but full of flavour and soundly structured.

Dave Broom

Nose
Sweet, fruity and estery: brown sugar, mashed banana, orange peel, maraschino cherry juice, dried mango. Oak-softening with water.
Palate
Thick, sweet, chewy and liquorous. Cooked fruits, creamy custard. Complex and teasing.
Finish
Sweet. Rosehip.
Comment
A resounding success. Would make a great, if expensive, Rob Roy.
