Tasting Notes

Dave Broom Nose Another pinkish one. Nougat, flower stems when neat, fruity and juicy with water when there’s melon, strawberry, cassis and baked banana. Good. Palate A slightly soapy start. The fruitiness which lies behind slightly hidden and the spirit seems a little covered. Finish Cloying. Comment This starts so promisingly, but the soapiness knocks it for me.

Arthur Motley Nose Orange squash, sugar soap and wet grass. A bit thin on the nose, with a confected cakiness. Palate Fairy liquid, with some buttery, fruit pastry. Finish More of those dishwater suds. Comment Disappointing to drink given the price tag and all the fancy frippery that goes with a bottling like this. I much prefer the 10 Years Old and Artisan cask!
