- Nose
- Soft and honeyed (comb) with a suggestion of age (suede),charred oak, leaf mould and a hint of sulphur.
There's mint and a butterscotch note, dried citrus peels. Light Dominican cigar. Complex.
- Palate
- Unctuous. Oozes into every crevice and fold in the mouth. Red fruits, citrus once again. Ripe and long.
- Finish
- Thick, syrupy.
- Comment
- Fantastic dram, but why oh why put it in such a horrible bottle?

- Nose
- Malty, fruity. Farmyard, cider apples. In the back, pepper dust. A hint of orange peel. Opens on bakery
aromas. Apple crumble.Vanilla toffee.
- Palate
- Rich, warm and malty. Good grip. Spices springing up.All delivered in one pack.
- Finish
- Assertive,keeping warm,with a nutty aftertaste.
- Comment
- A straightforward whisky. Delivers the whole package in one go. A good warmer up for rainy days. Don't
expect stylish manners.
