Michael Jackson
Nose
Sweet. Very spicy. honey-cake. Baclava?
Palate
Unusually buttery. Barley-sugar sweetness at first: toffeeish, chewy, cakey. Then nutty, seed-like and grainy as it dries. Cinnamon and spices.
Finish
Short and sweet. Salty, oaky, rummy.
Comment
The madeira almost overwhelms the whisky, but the Glenmorangie saltiness finally sings.

Nose
Fresh and lively with grassy, oaky, vanilla notes and salty extremes.
Palate
Teasing sweet and sour balance of nuts and raisins, chocolate orange and brine.
Finish
Very warming, still teasingly raisiny until a faintly peaty dryness finally prevails.
Comment
Glenmorangie in spite of its lightish origins can walk the wood finish tight rope with majestic balance.
