- Sweet. Very spicy. honey-cake. Baclava?
- Palate
- Unusually buttery. Barley-sugar sweetness at first: toffeeish, chewy, cakey. Then nutty, seed-like and grainy as it dries. Cinnamon and spices.
- Finish
- Short and sweet. Salty, oaky, rummy.
- Comment
- The madeira almost overwhelms the whisky, but the Glenmorangie saltiness finally sings.

- Fresh and lively with grassy, oaky, vanilla notes and salty extremes.

- Teasing sweet and sour balance of nuts and raisins, chocolate orange and brine.

- Very warming, still teasingly raisiny until a faintly peaty dryness finally prevails.
- Comment
- Glenmorangie in spite of its lightish origins can walk the wood finish tight rope with majestic balance.
