Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Sweetish, creamy, herbal, winey.
Palate
Smooth, sweet. Soft berry fruits. Prunes. Lots of flavour development. Becoming spicy, with cinnamon and later ginger.
Finish
Figs in cream. Green peppercorns. Very long.
Comment
As the glass sits on my desk, aromas and flavours slowly emerge, I like it more and more, but I suspect it will always be overshadowed by last year’s Côte de Nuits.

Dave Broom

Nose
Sweet and softly elegant. Fresh herbs (thyme), orange, bread with a hint of charred wood in background.
Palate
Quite dry. Plenty of wood with soft fruit mid-palate. Char.
Finish
Soft.
Comment
Liqueur style. Good balance.
