Nose
Mature, highly extracted aromas. Varnish, fruit jams alongside cherry, bitter chocolate, barley sugar, overripe apricot and dunnage warehouse.
Palate
Vinous. The dense fruits re-appear with a balancing sourness and a hint of bitter orange peel. Powerful, rich, thick and waxy/unctuous that, once diluted, reveals membrillo and rose hip syrup.
Finish
Cedar and liquorice.
Comment
Odd, askew, individual and marvellous but way too pricey. On liquid alone the score is 9.1

Nose
Woody. Damp wood. Some mustiness. Humus. A sweet note slowly emerges. Orange squash.
Palate
Smooth at first followed by a fizzy burst. Alcohol is well mastered. Powerful but not biting. Sweet malty notes with an orangey touch. Spices. Chili, nutmeg.
Finish
Short but soothing on dried almonds.
Comment
The nose is not very inviting but the palate is more interesting. A few drops of water cuts the edges.
