Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
‘Rough’, fresh, fruity. Brought to mind fruit skins and almondy cherry pits.
Palate
Big, smooth, fruity, earthy. Becoming marshmallow-like and malty.
Finish
Sandalwood, walnut, salt … all the Glenmorangie flavours come powering through.
Comment
Very port-tasting and curiously unrefined. Having robust tastes in food and drink, I loved it. Some might find it lacking in sophistication.

Dave Broom

Nose
Soft. Raspberry fool, cranberry sauce, custard, stewed apple/apple skin, fennel seed, dry wood.
Palate
Sweet and soft, apples in red wine, red fruit and cream.
Finish
Very soft. Wine gums.
Comment
More of a cocktail than a malt as if some wine has been left in the glass and Glenmorangie poured on top of it. Help! I’m confused!
