- Nose
- Blackberry pie dusted with icing sugar.
- Palate
- Scented, dryish. A first bite of the fruits.
- Finish
- The juice, with some acidity and bitterness.
- Comment
- A very unusual vatting (bourbon, plain charred oak and Rioja) has produced equally strange flavours. Less oaky vanilla and more Rioja than I would have expected. I like its eccentricity, but it loses points for lack of whisky character.

- Nose
- Fragrant and lifted: apple, strawberry, orange blossom, vanilla, chocolate, spice. In time, Irn Bru.
- Palate
- Starts soft, but is lightly tannic with an acidic edge. Soft fruits, plum skin, chocolate.
- Finish
- Creamy and fruity, peach apricot, Opal Fruits (aka Starburst).
- Comment
- Doesn't quite hold together on palate.
