- Early must, then malt. Greasy brown paper too.
- Palate
- Malt carries over from the nose, with ginger and dried fruits.
- Finish
- Lots of spice and caramel, then subtle oak tannins.
- Comment
- Drinkable enough, but marked down for its ‘fousty' nose.

- Dunnage warehouses, raspberry jam and crumpets. Fresh buttered rye
bread develops.
- Palate
- Bread crusts, sweet water biscuits, a little spice, trail mix.
- Finish
- Juicy fruits and quite long, spices build at the end.
- Comment
- A Rothes for before dinner, a conversational whisky.
