Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Nose
Soft, sweet and tender. Lots of fruit (orange, grapefruit, almond). Hint of hawthorn blossom.
Palate
Smart combination of fruit and oak, uncovering peat on the move. Mouthfilling and appetite-arousing.
Finish
Clean, dry, crisp and gently smoky.
Comment
Very elegant and fragrant. As an apéritif with melon, basil and Parma ham.

Dave Broom

Nose
Freshly-turned earth, apple blossom, a little smoke. Fragrant, medium-bodied. Water brings out apple wood, cream and a citric lift. Smoke remains.
Palate
Light start, good mid-palate weight but not very broad or overly complex. Smoke and soft attractive fruits.
Finish
Short.
Comment
All the qualities of this distillery: Fragrance, good feel, little smoke but not one of the best.
