Michael Jackson
Nose
Freshly cut ripe, sweet, pears. Scented.
Palate
Tastes of cream, nectarines, melons and pears. Soft, stalky and woody.
Finish
Refreshing.
Comment
Not much complexity, but an unusually summery whisky.

Jim Murray
Nose
Spirity and ethereally light. More malty and sweet when reduced.
Palate
A hot dram at first, but offers immediately a faultlessly clean maltiness .
Finish
More of the same. The final notes show a lush richness usually associated with small stills and lots of copper.
Comment
Beyond the stark, disappointing nose, this is a genuinely fine dram. The star turn is the balance.
