Nose
Fragrant. Sandalwood. Gorse, bracken. Develops caramelised walnut and buttery notes. Palate
Medium, sweetness muzzled by oak. Gingered rhubarb. More wood flavours as it opens up. Finish
Pleasantly spiced but becomes bitter when water added. Comment
Disappointingly on the wood side. For those who like it oaky!
Dave Broom
Nose
A light, gentle nose with custard creams, lemon and with water some wood and a fruity jammy element. Palate
Dry and very woody. Overpoweringly so. There’s some citric, perfumed/lavender stuff trying to come out but the wood batters it over the head. Finish
Dry and woody with that jammy flavour at the very end. Comment
Lovely soft, vanilla nose obliterated by wood. Shame.
