- Nose
- Fragrant. Lightly smoky. Oaky. Slightly musty.
- Palate
- Soft for its age. Fresh, fruit. Some sweetness in the middle. Mint creams. Oaky woodiness.
- Finish
- Kirschwasser, Cherry brandy. Almondy.
- Comment
- A great age, but it has matured beautifully.

- Nose
- Sherry with leather and smoke. Powerful, complex, resiny. Polished old furniture. Dried fruit, cider and cinnamon slowly emerge. Custardy notes.
- Palate
- Slight apple sourness with burnt wood and dark chocolate. Candied chestnuts.
- Finish
- Lingering but dry and slightly bitter.
- Comment
- A rich, luscious, venerable malt although time and sherry have silenced the distillery character. A real piece of history. No water, thanks!
