- Salty, rooty, seaweed.
- Palate
- Salty. Grainy. Some wood-pulp, sulphury, notes.
- Finish
- New mown hay. Sweetness. Slight peatiness, saltiness.
- Comment
- I am not sure about that sulphur. Is it from the cask, or is it seaweedy? I usually like seaweed, but am not convinced by this bottling.

- Clean, soft fruity, pears, whiffs of carbolic soap and smoke.
- Palate
- Medium-full bodied, slightly viscous, nutty, malty, toasty.
- Finish
- Sweet to salty. Dry with a gently smoked character.
- Comment
- Fairly gentle for a Scapa and a little drier throughout than expected.
