Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Honey. Turkish delight. Cedary dryness.
Palate
Firm. Smooth. Creamy Oriental desserts. Roses. Flowery dryness.
Finish
Coffee fudge. Almonds. Pistachio nuts. Dryish. Long.
Comment
A luxurious after-dinner malt.

Martine Nouet

Nose
Pear drop. Sherry notes (fruit cake and chocolate). Oxtail consommé, toffee, beeswax. Slightly sulphury. Hides its complexity.
Palate
Sherry. Sour apple and orange peel with a balsamic touch (eucalyptus). Dry and oaky.
Finish
Oaky, coffee beans, bitter chocolate.
Comment
Hard to find Linkwood delicacy and elegance in this version. Probably not from outstanding sherry casks.
