- Nose
- Slight peat. Burnt wood. Faintly astringent.
- Palate
- On the light side for this whisky. The big, creamy maltiness that I expect in Ardmore seems to have attenuated instead to a papery, metallic, thinness.
- Finish
- Quick. Astringent.
- Comment
- Starts slowly, and seems uncertain as to where it is going.

- Nose
- Light. Sweet eating apples (Cox), crusty bread, banana, sage. It's a bloody picnic! Perfumed with light smoke and a vegetal note. Hint of linoleum.
- Palate
- Soft. Medium bodied. Cooked apple, lemon and lime zest and sweet spices. Understated.
- Finish
- A wisp of peat smoke.
- Comment
- A good example from an underrated distillery. Now all we need is an Allied bottling.
