Michael Jackson
Nose
Slight peat. Burnt wood. Faintly astringent.
Palate
On the light side for this whisky. The big, creamy maltiness that I expect in Ardmore seems to have attenuated instead to a papery, metallic, thinness.
Finish
Quick. Astringent.
Comment
Starts slowly, and seems uncertain as to where it is going.

Nose
Light. Sweet eating apples (Cox), crusty bread, banana, sage. It's a bloody picnic! Perfumed with light smoke and a vegetal note. Hint of linoleum.
Palate
Soft. Medium bodied. Cooked apple, lemon and lime zest and sweet spices. Understated.
Finish
A wisp of peat smoke.
Comment
A good example from an underrated distillery. Now all we need is an Allied bottling.
