- Nose
- Evokes grand houses, polished oak and elegant living.
- Palate
- Buttery, toasty. Slight burnt toast. Lime marmalade. A touch of ginger.
- Finish
- Bittersweet. A hint of black coffee.
- Comment
- Classic Speyside. Confident. Aristocratic.

- Nose
- Pine needles, Badedas bath, light citrus oil/dried tangerine peel, some bitter herbs/bark, light vanilla. Settles down into butterscotch, pine wood mulch. Seems fragile. Raspberry leaf. Layered. In time fruit cake, raisin, light peat.
- Palate
- Surprisingly soft, quite fragile with a lacy feel. Flavours shift into peppermint. Complex.
- Finish
- Firm becoming dry.
- Comment
- A venerable and complex beast that's just holding on. Don't add water.
