Michael Jackson
Nose
Digestive biscuits (shortbread?) in the foreground, give way to distant background of ripe tropical fruits. Banana? Vanilla, too.
Palate
Viscous. Well done toast, unsalted butter and maybe home-made lemon curd.
Finish
Fruity? Faintly citric with traces of cocoa.
Comment
Should the pink tangerine blush of this whisky hint at Bacchus? He may have glanced at the cask, but I can’t find him in the glass.

Nose
Distinctly pinky with a sweet, slightly jammy nose: rosehip jelly, rasps, stewed fruit tea, sweet apple and a hint of smoke.
Palate
Sweet start, a (balanced) grippy mid-palate then a slow, sweet wine gum like centre. Bittersweet wild fruits (rowan) balanced by oak.
Finish
Long and sweet.
Comment
A generous distillate given a little nudge by the finish. Very well balanced.
