- Nose
- Sherry, sherry and sherry again. Bovrils, Marmite, burnt tyre. Date molasses. Musty cellar. Hint of earthy mushroom. Dry walnuts.
- Palate
- Heavily sherried. Currants marinated in a spicy syrup. Dates and figs, with a touch of dried apricot. Walnut peel. Bittersweet.
- Finish
- Rich and spicy. Sweet oak.
- Comment
- So sherry… Dark Oloroso wipes out all maltiness. Unbalanced but sherry fanatics will love it.

- Nose
- Grunty but mellow. Ripe fruits, pot pourri, cold coffee, kicking up wet leaves in the winter. Lightly waxy with a hint of phenol and furniture polish.
- Palate
- Silky, moving into fruit compote, peaches in red wine, sultana. Fine tannins. Has depth.
- Finish
- Tingling. Bitter chocolate, honeycomb, light smoke.
- Comment
- A grumbly kind of cove.
