- Nose
- Mellow. Sherry notes: nuts, light dried fruits. Fresh cereal, sweet sawdust and mellow fruits. Sufficient dry grass and flowers to add complexity and lift. Darjeeling tea wine accents.
- Palate
- Soft and light entry, then floats across the tongue. The juiciness (pear) helps anchor it and that thickness in the middle is the key.
- Finish
- Berry fruits.
- Comment
- A teasing mix of sweet and dry. One of the best ‘standards'.
- Nose
- Malty at first, fresh bread and warmed biscuits. Honey flapjacks and pencil
shavings. Cake mix and dried fruits.
- Palate
- More baked cereals, light caramels and vanilla. Some juciy fruits, red apples and pears.
- Finish
- Resin like and a little fiery, in a good way. Warming.
- Comment
- Of a very high standard, plenty going on and all in balance.
