- Smoky. Treacle toffee.
- Palate
- Chewy. Fruity. Cherries. Chocolatey.
- Finish
- Bitter chocolate. Concentrated. Intense.
- Comment
- I would love this whisky if it had a little less wood. I want to love it anyway, but in the end the wood defeats me.

- Powerful intense and resinous: treacle, raspberry, coffee. Light smoke giving a burnt note. Gutsy European oak in spades.
- Palate
- Rich and mouthfilling, reminiscent of Brandy de Jerez: stewed plum, leather, PX, burnt raisins. Dry and densely wooded.
- Finish
- Fruit cake.
- Comment
- A fine example of European oak in action.
