- Nose
- Old, crepuscular. Rancio, tea chest, cedar and musk. Some dried raspberry, dried petals, and heavy toffee. A drop of water brings out an Armagnac note akin to turned earth and prune.
- Palate
- Huge and Ribena-like. Treacle and leather alongside smoke. Solid and
robust, and again smoothes at the end.
- Finish
- Smoky and rich. Concentrated red fruits.
- Comment
- Multi-award winning –and you can see why. Mature, complex and elegant.
- Nose
- Granny's wardrobe: cedar wood, fur coats, old wood tannins. Leather boots. Also some peppery spice and fading rose petals.
- Palate
- Fresh and crisp. Buttered Digestive biscuits, Parkin cake and bonfire
toffees. A little cream too.
- Finish
- Long with a touch of fudge.
- Comment
- Stunning stuff that has aged well.
