- Nose
- Sylvestry. Wet leaves, humus. Cooked mushrooms. Chicken broth. With aeration, carries on creamier notes. Vanilla custard.
- Palate
- Round, almost syrupy. Then orange marmalade. Stem ginger.
- Finish
- Warm. Oaky, bitter orange.
- Comment
- A good development, even if astringence shows up at times.

- Nose
- Singed grass moving into sulphur (boiled cabbage). Earthy with some estery notes, black peppercorn, nuts.
- Palate
- Clean and rounded and vanilla soft from the oak with pumpkin seed crispness coming from the cereal.
- Finish
- Finishes half way up the palate.
- Comment
- A theme seems to be emerging. Light spirit, plenty of oak, not long enough in cask to mellow.
