Nose
Sylvestry. Wet leaves, humus. Cooked mushrooms. Chicken broth. With aeration, carries on creamier notes. Vanilla custard.
Palate
Round, almost syrupy. Then orange marmalade. Stem ginger.
Finish
Warm. Oaky, bitter orange.
Comment
A good development, even if astringence shows up at times.

Dave Broom

70
Nose
Singed grass moving into sulphur (boiled cabbage). Earthy with some estery notes, black peppercorn, nuts.
Palate
Clean and rounded and vanilla soft from the oak with pumpkin seed crispness coming from the cereal.
Finish
Finishes half way up the palate.
Comment
A theme seems to be emerging. Light spirit, plenty of oak, not long enough in cask to mellow.
