Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Honey with a suggestion of chocolate, but also herbal notes. Palate Peppery and dry, but also creamy. Finish Orangey, zesty. Appetisingly spicy. Cilantro? Comment Very distinctive. Bring on the chicken mole.

Dave Broom Nose Rich, wooded. Like a dunnage warehouse. Molasses, Christmas cake. European oak. Palate Charred timbers. The spirit has a fruity weight but the wood is in charge. Too dry and tannic. Finish Dry. Comment A shame as you don’t find many wholly port pipe matured whiskies, but this has lain in the cask for too long.
