Nose
Rich and deep. A hint of white truffle and a light charred note. Oily with nutty/sweet oxidised notes. Thick honey, barley sugar and ginger.
Palate
Big, thick and honeyed - blossom/clover. Red fruits, some spicy wood extract. Unctuous and thick.
Finish
Dessert like.
Comment
Amazing depth of character for such a young whisky. Has been bottled at its peak and shows a great balance of distillery character and the weird decayed glory of Sauternes.

Nose
Sour. Pomegranate. Some other exotic fruit too. Floral. Daffodils. Develops on more fruit. Some fresh red grape juice. And also parma violets.
Palate
Sweet then shifting to the same sour character as the nose. Pomegranate. Crystallised violets. A perfumy sensation.
Finish
Sweet and perfume-like.
Comment
An unusual aromatic display. To try when you feel different? Maybe. That perfume profile made my tastebuds uncomfortable though.
