- Nose
- Sherry. Christmas cake. Some of the dried fruit has burned in the oven.
- Palate
- Malty. Buttery. A slice of Wensleydale cheese. On top of the cake.
- Finish
- Slightly woody bitterness. Late saltiness.
- Comment
- Very satisfying flavours.

- Nose
- Late autumn. Dry oak, firm and quite earthy with rooty/smouldering peat calf. Tweed. Has good depth and a slightly obscured sweetness. Seems old.
- Palate
- A peaty start, then the smoke lifts and allows some honey and fudge in along with old dried peels. Becomes progressively oaky.
- Finish
- A bit tannic.
- Comment
- Seems like a very old whisky with strange exotic flavours.
