- Nose
- Quite shy and needs time to develop. Even then it is more about a sensation than an exuberant explosion of aroma. Barley sugar, Seville orange zest and rhubarb.
- Palate
- Sumptuous and silky, with layers of dense, cooked black fruits. Massive
complexity that slowly shows deep layers of ripe fruits. Polished oak.
- Finish
- Enormous, long and complex.
- Comment
- A slow, learned intellectual of a malt. If you are going to put out a 40yo,
here's the benchmark.

- Nose
- Perfumy, elegant, complex. Antique furniture shop, fading rose, potpourri. Candied orange notes slowly swirl up.
- Palate
- Lusciously silky. Refined balance. Malt, fruit and oak are intimately
intertwined. Spices explode on the midpalate.
- Finish
- Everlasting, dry and spicy.
- Comment
- An incredible buoyancy and vitality for its age. You think
of Dylan's song Forever Young. Fantastic!
