Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Fresh. Fruit salad.
Palate
Long, fruity, dusty. Sweet shop flavours. Children's sweet. Dolly mixtures.
Finish
Soft liquorice. Some liquorice root. A hint of phenol smokiness.
Comment
Light but enjoyable flavours. A lively, attractive, feminine whisky, but the island character is scarcely evident: an omission for which a half point is deducted.

Dave Broom

Nose
Clean and light with precise phenolic notes, citrus, vanilla yellow haddock. All quite restrained...in a peaty way. Like standing on a high, rainy moor.
Palate
Immediate smoke, but with a balancing sweetness that runs the length of the palate. Great drive and energy.
Finish
Phenolic, dry. Medium length.
Comment
A young, punchy vatting. For beginners and peat lovers.
