- Nose
- Fino sherry? Saltiness. Grassy peatiness.
- Palate
- Silky, malty. Herbal fruitiness and bitterness, and some pepper.
- Finish
- Grassy and peaty again. Oily. Very late seaweedy medicinal touch.
- Comment
- Like Finlaggan, this must come from one of the Islay distilleries. It seems bigger, more rounded, but less assertive, than Finlaggan.

- Nose
- Like Tobermory, another dram offering pre-pubescent peatiness; green and raw.
- Palate
- The type of peaty malt usually seen only in blends. The intensity is overwhelming, with only limited oak to offer complexity. Big malt.
- Finish
- Peaty. Hasn't extracted sweetness from the oak so gristy greenness is unchecked.
- Comment
- This is fun stuff, a rare chance to taste a high-quality peaty malt at a relatively young age.
