Michael Jackson
Nose
Fino sherry? Saltiness. Grassy peatiness.
Palate
Silky, malty. Herbal fruitiness and bitterness, and some pepper.
Finish
Grassy and peaty again. Oily. Very late seaweedy medicinal touch.
Comment
Like Finlaggan, this must come from one of the Islay distilleries. It seems bigger, more rounded, but less assertive, than Finlaggan.

Nose
Like Tobermory, another dram offering pre-pubescent peatiness; green and raw.
Palate
The type of peaty malt usually seen only in blends. The intensity is overwhelming, with only limited oak to offer complexity. Big malt.
Finish
Peaty. Hasn't extracted sweetness from the oak so gristy greenness is unchecked.
Comment
This is fun stuff, a rare chance to taste a high-quality peaty malt at a relatively young age.
