- Nose
- Very intense, slight iodine/saline notes, green tomato and a powdery note behind. Very little cask. Leaf buds with apple pear and, with water, Brasso.
- Palate
- Hugely perfumed/scented. Touches of lavender which wasn't there on the
nose, but dominates the palate.
- Finish
- Tart and short.
- Comment
- I'm an Inchgower fan but I'd want more from a whisky of this age.

- Nose
- Intense, enticing. Waxy. Beewax, Honeyed Victoria plums. Blancmange. Delicate. A sour note. Cider apple maybe. A touch of cinnamon.
- Palate
- Smooth at first but once on the tongue, literally explodes. Biting. Water takes some of the fizz away but enhances the cardboard note.
- Finish
- Dry, fizzy, leafy.
- Comment
- Disappointing. The nose delivered promises that the palate did not confirm.
