Nose
Very intense, slight iodine/saline notes, green tomato and a powdery note behind. Very little cask. Leaf buds with apple pear and, with water, Brasso.
Palate
Hugely perfumed/scented. Touches of lavender which wasn't there on the nose, but dominates the palate.
Finish
Tart and short.
Comment
I'm an Inchgower fan but I'd want more from a whisky of this age.

Nose
Intense, enticing. Waxy. Beewax, Honeyed Victoria plums. Blancmange. Delicate. A sour note. Cider apple maybe. A touch of cinnamon.
Palate
Smooth at first but once on the tongue, literally explodes. Biting. Water takes some of the fizz away but enhances the cardboard note.
Finish
Dry, fizzy, leafy.
Comment
Disappointing. The nose delivered promises that the palate did not confirm.
