Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Nose
Floral and fruity. Delicate touch of orange blossom. Overipe pear. Distinctive creamy nuttiness. Fresh walnut. Wood notes emerge slowly and softly.
Palate
More vibrant than nose announced. Fizzy. Develops on buttery notes. Plum pie.
Finish
Tangy, spicy, lingering. Fresh ginger. Peppery.
Comment
Not much connection between nose and palate. But the surprise is pleasant. A beautiful wake-up malt on rainy days.

Dave Broom

Nose
Nutty. Burnt toast, llight rasin notes, cooked raspberry, almost jammy. Water releases top notes, tinned fruit salad.
Palate
Ripe and thick, dried fruits, raisin, light spices. Soft feel. Oak in balance.
Finish
Charred, almost smoky. Mushroom.
Comment
A well balanced 'finish'. Marsala suits it well.
