Nose
Piney. Cedary. Oaky Palate
Nutty. Bittersweet orange marmalade. Sweet lemons. Finish
A surprising, refreshing acidity. Tangy. Salty. Echoes of the sea. Comment
The sherry, and the balance of flavours, seem to work better in this version.
Dave Broom
Nose
Richly oaky with malt, bung cloth and dried fruits. Water brings the fruits to the fore. Very juicy, like semi-dried pears and apricots. Palate
Soft, managing to be both succulently fruity and slightly wild in nature. Oak, spice heather. Finish
Slightly oaky. Comment
A good sipping dram that’s not too demanding but has good weight and a supple body.
