Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet Nose Sweet. Restrained. Pine nut. Rice pudding and custard. Caramel. With a dash of water, stewed apples. Palate Sweet, a bit soft and watery in the middle. Toffee and honey. Finish Short, dry. Nutty. Comment Not as enticing as the older versions. Lacks depth but it has nothing to do with youth. Water kills it down.

Dave Broom Nose Earthy, damp bracken, pine wood, grass. Firm cereal notes. Warm, woollen hiking socks. Ovaltine. Slightly milky. Young, beginning to come together. Palate Nutty, crunchy, hazelnut. grass. Unctuous feel. Sweet in the centre. Finish Crisp. Dry grass. Comment Seems bulkier than I recall.
