- Nose
- Autumnal with lots of chanterelle/truffle, violet and rancio. The deep decayed concentration drifts into soy, and dense fruits. Fungal and funky with a feral foxy touch. [that's enough alliteration: Ed] Mature.
- Palate
- Dense and fruity concentrated with mulberry jam. The buzz of alcohol
enhances the mystery. A big, rich bruiser that's rooted in the earth.
- Finish
- Big fat raisin. Sweet.
- Comment
- Another often dismissed distillery comes out swinging.

- Nose
- Oaky. Sap, freshly sawed wood. New leather. Developing on praline and
toffee. With water, opens on outdoors fragrances. Moss, touch of vetiver.
- Palate
- Dry. Wood immediately takes the lead and displays astringent notes
interlaced with liquorice.
- Finish
- Very dry. Burning
- Comment
- One could expect more smoothness and refined character from a 17 Years
Old. The bitterness is quite invading but not inviting.
