- Nose
- Rich. Cake mix, dry leaves, crisped cereal, then a long, sweet mix of date and supple leather, pea and ham soup (which isn't a bad thing) and cacao. Scented with dried rasps and amaro.
- Palate
- Sweet and biscuity then thick layers of oak. Shifts into black treacle/fruit then real dryess coming from the spirit underneath emerges.
- Finish
- Dry.
- Comment
- Impressive, but you can see the joins.

- Nose
- A weird note of wasabi. Very obvious. Quite prickly. Followed by a fast fading cheese touch (Reblochon cheese?). Then on a sweeter note, plum pudding comes through.
- Palate
- Dry, sour. Oak prevails. Fizzy feel. Displays lots of spices. Ginger, black pepper. A distant touch of gingerbread as well.
- Finish
- Dry and spicy.
- Comment
- A rather dour fellow. Needs better balance for me.
