- Nose
- A gentle caress of apricots and carbolic soap.
- Palate
- That firm, linseed crackle of pot still whiskey, the edges rounded by sultanas.
- Finish
- Mince pies then a farewell buzz from the unmalted barley.
- Comment
- Even after 18 years, the pot still refuses to be mastered by the wood. Very drinkable.

- Nose
- Rich fruit and nut. Good weight with positive (resinous) oak notes. Linseed oil, black butter, moss, dried apricot and honey, toffee apple. Mature.
- Palate
- Rolls around the mouth, becoming intensely exotic. Dried peels, peach, honey, Turkish Delight. Nutty grip, fruit cake, bitter chocolate and cream.
- Finish
- Firm, oak.
- Comment
- Seems drier than I remember but still well balanced.
