Nose
A gentle caress of apricots and carbolic soap.
Palate
That firm, linseed crackle of pot-still whiskey, the edges rounded by sultanas.
Finish
Mince pies then a farewell buzz from the unmalted barley.
Comment
Even after 18 years, the pot still refuses to be mastered by the wood. Very drinkable.

Nose
Rich fruit and nut. Good weight with positive (resinous) oak notes. Linseed oil, black butter, moss, dried apricot and honey, toffee apple. Mature.
Palate
Rolls around the mouth, becoming intensely exotic. Dried peels, peach, honey, Turkish Delight. Nutty grip, fruit cake, bitter chocolate and cream.
Finish
Firm, oak.
Comment
Seems drier than I remember but still well balanced.
