- Nose
- Melted butter, apples and lemon rind (the preparatory stage of a crumble). Wet paint and plasticene. With water lots of sourness: gooseberries, soor plooms and grapefruit.
- Palate
- Mouthfilling and challenging with lime marmalade on brown bread and a dry finish.
- Finish
- A little sourness and perhaps some soap.
- Comment
- Distinctive and fascinating sourness: a complex, tangy old tart.

- Nose
- Spicy! Curry leaf/fenugreek. Lightly floral, cooked pear, melted butter, linden blossom, light grass and a charred smokiness. Has character and quality.
- Palate
- Round and balancing between the tart and the sweet. Sadly there's also a slightly soapy quality.
- Finish
- Unripe fruit.
- Comment
- It's a decent dram, but the soapiness just knocks it back a few points.
