Nose
Somewhat dry and dusty at first, it eventually permits me some sharp green fruits (gooseberries?) with an almost candy-floss like top note. Then furniture polish? Beeswax? Resin? Palate
Medium. Balanced. Some burnt pastry. Vanilla? Young oak. A hint of menthol. Finish
Surprisingly soft, with some green, vegetal notes. Comment
A curious whisky. Not sure where it’s coming from, or going to.
Dave Broom
Nose
Light and young. Floral (gladioli) and a hint of cereal with a nodule of sweetness. Cooking marmalade, citrus peels, flour. Palate
Liquorous. Sweet and slightly dusty (sawdust and malt). Raisins, coconut, muesli then a soft floral quality. Smooth and rounded, poached fruits to finish. Finish
Charred. Short. Comment
Water splits it. Oak not quite integrated. A good session dram.
