Nose
Sweet, delicate but intense. Touch of hyacinth. Caramelised apples, pine nuts. Chestnut purée. Coffee beans. A varnish hint. Becomes creamier and fudgier as it gets aerated. Palate
Very smooth and round. Oily. Fudgy. Oak and spices slightly overtake the fruitiness Finish
Long. Drying on nutty notes. Black pepper. Comment
A pleasant balance between oaky and creamy notes. The finish is surprisingly long for the alcoholic strength. The mid palate is a bit watery.
Dave Broom
Nose
Very lean and slightly sappy. Hazelnut, cinnamon and almond paste. Lightly charred. A lot of oak. Palate
Sweet and citric. Dry, sandy. Finish
Light lemon. Comment
The lightest of the lot. Almost fragile in this company.
