- Nose
- Fat and malty with nuts, malted milk and ham stock (not something that you see in conjunction that often) Light and fairly tight. There's a meatiness all the way through here that with water shifts to cocoa.
- Palate
- Quite dry and tannic with some mint and lipstick like waxiness. Another
that's best with only a little water.
- Finish
- Fat, but balanced.
- Comment
- Decent enough.

- Meaty, a hint of smoke. Smoked ham. A butyric touch like the lactic smell in
a dairy.
- Palate
- Sweet at first then getting bitter. Liquorice root, sugar candy. Over infused tea.
- Finish
- Dry, oaky with a hint of burnt wood.
- Comment
- A dour character. Wood is not integrated enough, and the whisky keeps an astringent edge.
