6 Can't see the point in offering such an unbalanced oaky profile. It is whisky we want to enjoy, not a wood infusion.

- Japan - 64.50%
7 Interesting aromatic profile but the alcohol strength makes it too harsh. Water does not soothe it, and that makes it difficult to really appreciate for me.

7 Unreconstructed macho whisky

8 Sherry masks the distillery character. Fine if you are a big fan. That sickening sweetness with water added is questionable.

7 The nose does not say it all. The old man is still sprightly.

7 A sharp character which needs a good dash of water. Quite refreshing.

7 A herbal tea for those who like it hot and pungent. Lovely nose. Good balance. Definitely needs water to tame the strength.

Blended - Japan - 40.00%
7 For once, a whisky that delivers more on the palate than on the nose. It could make a pleasant summer dram.

7 Rare steak anyone?

8 A strong character with complexity and good structure. Oak is very present but in an elegant way.
