- Nose
- Grassy, herbal. Dry hay, angelica, lemon grass. Fresh lemon. Very zesty. Young and vibrant.
- Palate
- Unexpected sweetness at start. A zesty tanginess with a pleasant cereal note. Alcohol strength is not easy to cope with.
- Finish
- Long, warm, slightly burning. Oaty dryness.
- Comment
- A herbal tea for those who like it hot and pungent. Lovely nose. Good balance. Definitely needs water to tame the strength.
70
- Nose
- Light and quite high-toned, even slightly yeasty with a hint of grass, melon. Fairly plain. Stewed fruit, quince jam, rhum vieux.
- Palate
- Dusty. Powdered lime, yeast and decent intensity. Fresh and fruity and young with good mid-palate sweetness.
- Finish
- Slightly sour and not wholly balanced.
- Comment
- Has that slightly edgy quality of a spirit that hasn't quite resolved itself with the oak.
