Nose
Prickly with a slight vinegary note. Joiner's workshop. Sawdust, green wood. A distant floral note.
Palate
Sweet at start but the alcohol bites and numbs the tongue. Some spices and again green oak.
Finish
Dry, soothing on sweeter notes.
Comment
That whisky definitely needs water to cut the edges but it brings out bitterness. The balance is missing.

Nose
Vanilla and sugar. A winey edge to it, grape stalks. Fresh cut oak and some citrus notes.
Palate
Starts with citrus sweetness then the alcohol kicks in. Spices on the middle of the tongue with that fresh oak.
Finish
Grippy and short.
Comment
The alcohol needs cutting back, but on the whole not unpleasant.
