Nose
Very oily. Orange zest. Citrus peels. Lemon. Palate
Oily. Lemon. Mustard. Pine nuts. Cream. Finish
Late cress. Bitter salad leaves. Powerfully dry. Comment
That distinctive pine-nut character perhaps derives from the Amontillado sherry, but its influence is otherwise restrained.
Jim Murray
Nose
Amazingly dry for this distillery, showing a touch of heather and the faintest hint of something citrus. Palate
Explosive start by contrast to the nose, quite peppery throughout but allowing grapey, oak depth. Finish
The oak continues to fill out with vanilla. Comment
This is sophisticated stuff and complex.
