Nose
An almost papery, fruit-skin, dryness. Palate
Starts like the layer of soft caramel in a Mars bar. Remarkably creamy. Astonishingly peach-like. Finish
Very lively. Almost effervescent. Comment
Lacks roundness, structure, balance. I was sorry to hear that this distillery has been closed. Temporarily?
Jim Murray
Nose
Sweet, gristy and fresh for age. Palate
Melt in the mouth despite strength with oak and malt battling out for honours. Finish
A very late almost subliminal hint of peat. Comment
A charming malt, though rather shy. Easily among the top Glencadams yet bottled.
