Nose
Light, fresh, fragrant, peat-smoke. Very attractive.
Palate
Firm, biscuity maltiness. Some barley sugar sweetness, developing suggestions of butter. A hint of black treacle. Some sherry.
Finish
Cereal grain oily dryness. Oat-like flavours. Sappy, smoky.
Comment
A welcome bottling of this neglected malt, and an interesting example.
