Nose
Intense. Freshly sawn oak. Hint of resin. Malty notes hardly break through. Touch of fruit, syrupy peaches. Becomes soapy with water added. Palate
Smooth and gentle. Maybe a bit too much. Could be more energetic with a higher alcohol content. Fruitier and nuttier than the nose. Finish
Soft and pleasant almondy flavours with a touch of dryness. Comment
Too mild to hold its own against the wood.
Dave Broom
Nose
Light and nutty/malty with some green pear, straw, dry spices. Estery and crisp. Palate
Equally light and nutty with a touch of milk chocolate in the mid-palate. Soft, easy and ultra-clean. Finish
Crisp, short and dry. Comment
Simple, attractive and easy-drinking.
