Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet Nose Intense. Freshly sawn oak. Hint of resin. Malty notes hardly break through. Touch of fruit, syrupy peaches. Becomes soapy with water added. Palate Smooth and gentle. Maybe a bit too much. Could be more energetic with a higher alcohol content. Fruitier and nuttier than the nose. Finish Soft and pleasant almondy flavours with a touch of dryness. Comment Too mild to hold its own against the wood.

Dave Broom Nose Light and nutty/malty with some green pear, straw, dry spices. Estery and crisp. Palate Equally light and nutty with a touch of milk chocolate in the mid-palate. Soft, easy and ultra-clean. Finish Crisp, short and dry. Comment Simple, attractive and easy-drinking.
