- Nose
- Classic fruit cake, but said cake has been stored in a tin of chocolates, taking on toffee, vanilla fudge, caramel and The Purple One. Plenty of toasted nuts, raspberries and some date syrup too.
- Palate
- A fabulously chewy texture. This is both earthy and fruity, with forest floor and coffee granules mixing with orange and lemon oils, raspberries and dates. Toffee balances the earthiness.
- Finish
- Chocolate-covered whole hazelnuts and warming paprika.
- Comment
- A chocolate tin at Christmas… to be enjoyed all year-round.

- Nose
- Parkin cake and crumbly cheddar cheese. The richness tempered with a little fig vinegar. Then toffee, tablet and melting brown sugar. Hints of steamed milk and coffee, some citrus.
- Palate
- Ah that's where the peat is hiding. Not huge peat, more leafy mulch and wood shavings on the fire. An old wooden cabinet to it. Melted chocolate and hot milk.
- Finish
- Quite short leaving those leafy notes and toasted pine nuts.
- Comment
- Great stuff, water opens out the citrus and ramps up the chocolate edges.
