Phenolic. Bags of creosote. Mineral. Pebbles drying in the sun.
Palate
Smooth and sweet. Lovely smoky maltiness wrapping up your tastebuds in smoke and soot. A citrus fruit touch.
Finish
Smoky, dry with a pleasant spiciness.
Comment
A well balanced islander. Feet in peat and head in smoke, standing in the briny air. With a warm heart. Great encounter.

Nose
Even as I opened the sample bottle the Islay character erupts. Peat fires, tarred rope, bracken laden Wellingtons.
Palate
A sweetness hits first then the smoke unfurls and coats the mouth with soot and sweet coal tar soap.
Finish
Swift but the spices are here.
Comment
If there was an outdoor dram this distillery does it.
